Botanical Gardens

Bernice Fielding, Creative Director of BEvolved, was the Executive Director for the exclusive Park and Tilford Garden. This garden is a European-style garden with eight uniquely themed areas on 3 acres of land. Originally established in 1969 as a community project of Canadian Park & Tilford Distilleries Ltd., this garden is filled with flowers, fountains and waterfalls. The garden rooms are interconnected by weaving walkways, however each space carries its own theme. The Rose Garden, with a covered arbour and Florentine pergola, has more than 25 varieties of roses, ranging from delicate miniatures to showy floribundas. Nearby, A collection of tropical plants and flowers fill the Greenhouse while adjacent is the Herb Garden, that contains plantings of medicinal and culinary herbs utilized for educational purposes. The Asian garden showcases a traditional Japanese teahouse while the pines and Japanese maples are maintained in the traditional Pen Jing manner. Park and Tilford Gardens is truly one of North Vancouver’s most tranquil corners. There’s something to see year-round at this beautiful garden, and the Christmas light display is a must-see.
